The Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO) supports a variety of educational options, recognizing that each child has different educational needs, talents, and interests. These options enable parents to choose the best educational environment(s) for their children. They are meant to improve and support the academic achievement and educational attainment of Black children. Included in these options are programs that provide children with extended learning opportunities and experiences in the sciences, mathematics, language arts/reading, social studies, foreign languages, international and domestic relations, fine and performing arts, and technical and skilled professions. It is particularly important to BAEO that any program work toward building students' mastery of a defined set of skills and techniques. Click on one of the options listed in the sidebar for a description of the option and for weblinks to information and resources about that option. |
