Lawrence C. Patrick III is the President and CEO of BAEO. Previously he was the visionary leader and co-founder of Megaschool, a high technology start-up that provides technology services to schools across the country. He is passionate about ensuring that all children have access to high quality information. Patrick, 26, has been featured in several newspaper trade publications and is considered an expert on new media and e-commerce strategy development. Patrick, who was a 1993 Knight Ridder Scholar, has worked at the Detroit Free Press, San Jose Mercury News, Tallahassee Democrat and Knight Ridder New Media. While at Knight Ridder New Media in Silicon Valley, he created and managed e-commerce sites for the nation’s second-largest newspaper company. A native Detroiter, Patrick graduated from Cass Technical High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in newspaper journalism from Florida A&M University.
