Resource Development Summer Intern

Job Description:
BAEO seeks a summer intern in the Resource Development department. The intern will be responsible for assisting the Senior Resource Development Manager with fundraising through the following activities:
• Grant writing and reporting
• Corporate fundraising
• Increasing and processing BAEO memberships
• Individual fundraising
• Direct Mail
• Communicating with BAEO members by telephone, e-mail and mail
The intern will achieve goals related to these activities, as set by the Senior Resource Development Manager. Duties will include but not be limited to writing grant applications and reports, letter writing, clerical tasks, telephone communication with members, occasional meeting attendance, data compilation and management, and research.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an undergraduate or graduate level student who is an exceptional writer and has superior communication and organization skills. A degree or major in English, Communications, or Organizational Management and fundraising experience (especially grant writing) is a plus. Candidates must be able to work well on their own and be a self-starter. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and internet research is a must.
